LUBc Scholarship ministry

We welcome all Little Union Baptist Church members to complete the Student Recognition form and for members who are high school seniors or graduates to complete the W. Ervin Green Memorial Scholarship as well as the Deacon Clyde Washington Education Award applications. For the application form, and/or more information click the links below. 

  • Student Achievement Form

    Student recognition form should be completed for all LUBC students who accomplish scholastic/education, sports/athletics, and/or church/community service achievements.   

  • W. Ervin Green Memorial Scholarship

    The Little Union Baptist Church Scholarship Ministry invites graduating high school seniors who are members of Little Union Baptist Church to apply for our annual scholarship award.    The scholarship honors the life and legacy of the late W. Ervin Green, who served as pastor for 32 years until his passing in 1992.  The purpose of the Little Union Baptist Church W. Ervin Green Memorial Scholarship is to recognize members of our church family who are graduating high school seniors and to support and encourage academic pursuits at accredited colleges, universities and/or trade schools.   An award will be given to all graduating high school senior scholarship applicants and a competitive scholarship of an additional $1750 will be awarded to the applicant demonstrating the greatest service to our church, to the community and the best essay.  The greatest emphasis will be on the applicant’s service and participation at LUBC.

  • Mary G. Porter Award

    The Little Union Baptist Church Mary G. Porter Award is given annually to the competitive winners of the Little Union Baptist Church W. Ervin Green Scholarship who are enrolled full time in post secondary educational institutions until they complete their post secondary education, not exceeding three additional years.   This Award is in honor of the late Deaconess Mary G. Porter, first chair of the Scholarship Ministry. All awards will be mailed directly to the educational institution that the awardees attend.  Read more about Mary G.   • Deacon Clyde Nathaniel Washington Education Award

    The Deacon Clyde Nathaniel Washington Education Award is a one-time award given to a LUBC student currently enrolled in a college or technical program of higher learning and working toward a degree or certification to assist with educational expenses.  For the 2022-23 school year, $500 will be granted to one awardee
